Effective date: 1 November 2026. These terms apply to the Onset Studio app, its web join page and the connection service at onset.siliconmac.com, developed by Fadi Halik. By using Onset Studio you agree to these terms, to the extent permitted by law. If you can’t legally agree, use Onset Studio only with the authorization and supervision of a parent or guardian.
Application license and Apple terms
Onset Studio is licensed to you through the App Store under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add to that agreement and do not replace it or Apple’s purchase and usage rules. If they conflict on licensing, Apple’s agreement takes precedence. Mandatory consumer rights always apply.
What Onset Studio provides
Onset Studio records video with one or more cameras, connects other devices as cameras nearby or over the internet, mixes and assigns sound, edits, captions and exports video, and streams live to services you choose. It is a device-based tool, not a hosting, storage or backup service.
Features depend on your device, iOS version, permissions and network. Some features, such as joining from anywhere, live streaming and some caption languages, need an internet connection.
Recording people and content responsibly
You are responsible for what you record, stream and share. Get the consent required by law before recording or streaming other people, respect privacy and intellectual property rights, and follow the rules of any place where you film.
Don’t use Onset Studio to record people secretly, harass, impersonate, infringe rights, stream unlawful content, interfere with the connection service, or try to access devices or streams that aren’t yours.
Invite links and guests
Anyone with an invite link can ask to join your shoot. Share links only with people you trust and let in only people you recognise. You can make a new link at any time; the old one then stops working. Guests remain responsible for their own content and conduct.
Third-party services
Live streaming sends your content to services you choose, such as YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Kick or X, under their terms. Onset Studio is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Stream keys are your responsibility; keep them private.
The connection service runs on Cloudflare, and Onset Studio relies on Apple’s systems, including speech recognition. The developer doesn’t control these services and can’t guarantee their availability.
Recordings, transfers and backups
Onset Studio stores recordings on your device. Transfers between devices can fail when a connection drops; the clip normally stays on the device that recorded it. Keep your own copies of important footage. The developer has no copy of your recordings and can’t recover them.
Purchases
Onset Studio is free to download. A one-time in-app purchase, Onset Studio Pro, unlocks all features, at the price shown for your country before you buy. There is no subscription. Apple handles payment, taxes, receipts and refunds. Refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Statutory rights are not affected.
Privacy and support
The Privacy policy explains how information is handled. Support is provided by email in English and Arabic at support@siliconmac.com, without a guaranteed response time.
Changes and availability
Features may change, and defects may be fixed or remain. These terms may be updated; the effective date shows the current version, and material changes are communicated as the law requires. Availability on every device, territory or future iOS version isn’t guaranteed.
Ownership and legal protections
The app’s software, design and content belong to Fadi Halik or other rights holders. Your recordings remain yours. Product and platform names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe compatibility. Third-party components follow their own licenses.
Warranty, liability and termination are set out in Apple’s license agreement, subject to applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. You may stop using Onset Studio at any time.
Governing law, questions and language versions
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without affecting mandatory consumer protections where you live. Questions and notices: Fadi Halik, support@siliconmac.com. The English and Arabic versions are intended to match; applicable law and mandatory consumer protections prevail over any inconsistent wording.
